Hi Kid-----let me check on the squad situation---i'm set with Todd Tullio and one other right now bet we can make it 5 folks with you and danny i'll get back with ya on pm RE: 22 BPCR - Fogman01 - 12-04-2017 Does anyone have a Winchester 1885 High Grade low wall .22LR? I am looking for a BPCR for my wife to shoot with a scope. I have seen an original Stevens 44 Ideal with scope mounts, a High Grade low wall tapped for scope, and the CPA silhouette rifles but at $2700 they are a bit too high. My wife needs a light weight rifle and we'd like to keep it somewhat "period". I enjoy my black powder Sharps and she has been shooting a little .22 Ruger 10/22 when we go to the range. She does very well on little swinging targets and can shoot good groups at 100 yards so far. If she had the right rifle she might like to try a match. She sees I have become addicted to knocking down iron critters (or trying to) and she may give it a go. And it's excuse to get another rifle! RE: 22 BPCR - Don McDowell - 12-05-2017 For what the last one of those I saw brought, you can get a low all from CSharps. RE: 22 BPCR - Cecil Sauer - 12-16-2017 I have to give a shout out to Cody Smith!!! He shot 9 of 10 chickens today at the 22BPCR match. If you don’t realize how awesome that is then you don’t know awesome from applesauce! RE: 22 BPCR - Don McDowell - 12-16-2017 Good job Cody, the boy sure has been on a roll the last couple of weeks. RE: 22 BPCR - Dave Roelle - 12-17-2017 That's a performance worthy of record in the extreme !!!!!! Which D*&$ chicken MOVED ? Congratulations Cody Dave RE: 22 BPCR - Kurt - 12-17-2017 Dave when you get your match schedules worked out for the 18 season can you send one to me and I will see if I can make one work. How is the .22 project coming? RE: 22 BPCR - Dave Roelle - 12-17-2017 Six-monthHi Kurt. Absolutely !!!! I'm waiting for the 22 schedule now The formula for Yaupon Creek Silhouette matches is: Big bore every 2nd and fourth Saturday except November and December, when we hold the 2nd Saturday match only 22 silhouette is the 3rd Saturday of each month First shots fired at 9:00AM I'll post the actual monthly schedule when I get it On the 22 project inletting is partially finished C-sharps Highwall Actions and Lilia barrels are at the smiths Chambering reamer came out with a perfect fit to RWS match ammo With a little luck we will be testing next month before sending metal out for engraving Dave RE: 22 BPCR - Dave Roelle - 11-26-2018 Well after a year or more of efforts between: me for the stock work, Cecil Fredi for the wood, John Powers (Powers Metal Works) for barrel fit up and primary chambering and heat treating, C-Sharps for the basic Highwall action, Lilja for the 28 inch barrel, Treebone Carving for inlet and shaping of the stock blanks and Bertram Edmontson for metal engraving the Dedicated 22 silhouette rifle is range ready Groups with several brands of ammo result in sub minute of angle performance The chamber is my design, its extremely tight when cut, final burnished for fit ------seems to get the job done Looking forward to next years 22 matches------they sure are fun ![]() Dave[attachment=1274][attachment=1276][attachment=1275] hope i got the pics attached RE: 22 BPCR - Don McDowell - 11-26-2018 Looks pretty darn nice Dave. |
