That is very consistent to what I have checked out with 50/50 WW/L. The 1/20 T/L looks a lot better then my results I have seen. The nose is usually set back more.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

Getting a bunch of bullet casting for the summer knocked out before work gets super crazy. I have some chicken loads put together for testing hopefully the rain a snow will ease up a bit. I'm thinking about upgrading to a rcbs pot with the fancy control thingy but midway is out of stock.[Image: 97abd937df6c0116b5edcec323d0d631.jpg]

Using my turkey cooker and Dutch oven makes very consistent bullets . The Lee 20lb works good but with a 30 degrees temp variants before it kicks in I get quite a few more culls.

Huh Mine does not vary like that.
I do keep a thermometer in the melt, while casting.
Can hold +/- 10*

In its defense it was in the 20s in the shop with a breeze. It's making a noise I haven't heard before . Maybe the heating element is going . I've casted a ton of pistol bullets with it also. The setting on the dial changes from 4 to 7 day to day to hold the same temp. Dutch oven no drama give it a swirl with the dipper everytime your good to go .

Unplug and take the cover off the controller when cold.
Clean the rheostat with contact cleaner(starting fluid works too). Then blow dry, and give it a go.

Figured with the brown truck coming anyway . I'm going to try a different whipping technique a Aussie named Perentie shared over on Shiloh .He uses Nylon bore brush with a wet felt 45 wad screwed on the front and a dry 45 felt held on with a brass nut on the shank . Bore pig type deal .He keeps them in a ammo box with a little water in the bottom . He said it was really working good .
I'm always having troubles either the patch hangs up and I have to reach up to get off the brush . Or the wind blows my patch away before get to the bore . It would help if I could stay settled from the last shot and not fumble with two patches.
I will share how it works for me .
