RE: Japchester Stock
This is a Modern Browning Low Wall. They have been chambered for modern cartridges in smokeless pressure ranges. 243, 260 rem and others.
This one \was originally a 45 Long Colt Traditional Hunter model. I got the Krieger 10 twist barrel installed.
I also have the Dan Theodore reamer that was used.
I shot this rifle back in my early days. Initially with smokeless loads to fire form the formed 405 Hornady brass
Then with BP after that and a 380 grain GG bullet at the time. The skinny stock was a problem with recoil and torque control .
Now, I have the 371360E DDEPP bullet to try in it. If I buy it back... I will put a better buttstock on it as per the above discussion.
Other option after trying it again as is, if it is still troublesome, I could always get it set back and rechambered for 38-50RH
