Big Grin Yeh buddy, that's a good one. Looking forward to putting some miles on it, and having some fun.
Saw some really nice 5th wheels we may go back and visit and trade our old one on..
This semi-retirement thing might just be ok..Cool

Sounds interesting. The CJ-5 is a great little jeep. I've always been a Jeep man, except when I was a Chevy pickup man :-)

RE: Hey Don!!!
Don.

It took a long time for me to get into a motor home. I always thought a trailer was the thing. I went from a Airstream to a big fifth wheel toy hauler but I could not get into some of the places in the National Forrest I wanted to be, and man make a wrong turn with a truck trailer that is almost 60 feet long Smile
Well last year I got the 26 foot Motorhome and it sure is a pleasure getting around with it. The wheel base is just about the same length as the 3/4 ton pickup lower in height then the trailers short turning radius and a lot handier when on the road plus the fuel consumption is less then dragging the fifth wheel. Should have done this a long time ago.
About 5 years ago I sold my two 1968 CJ-5's one good one and one parts jeep. I like the short wheel base they have for off road. Cant beat them.
Last year I traded my heavy diesel pickup for a Jeep Rubicon and I drag it behind my Gypsy wagon and it's still shorter then dragging a fifth wheeler and I cant even tell it's behind. The Rubicon has a wheel base about like the CJ-7 but it has room in the back the 5 doesn't have.

Kurt you remember out old fishmobile... I sure missed that thing. I do like the 5th wheel for extended stays, but the fishmobile is just the ticket for grabbing the boat and going fishing for a couple of days, or taking the 4 wheelers up to run the continental divide trails etc. And it also works great for when just going on a 1 day or 2 day match..

Gary having the jeeps engine rebuilt, new brakes , ujoints, and exhaust.. poor old bugger hadn't had much done to it since it left the showroom floor in 1960..
