I've looked at a couple of those and they are nice, but the Remingtons seem to be really well made and I've talked to a couple of guys that have them and they're really happy with them.

I have handled and shot a couple of the Remmy's, all they would need(like most 1911's)is a minor trigger job.
Had no issue with them feeding my 200gn SWC target loads, BTW.
Same goes for the Springfield's.
Life's to short NOT to have at least 1 good 1911..... Big Grin

Its hard to guess how many rounds my ol' Brazilian Springer has down the tube. It still hits right on the sights at 15 yards. Plenty good for house work clean-ups ... LOL

As testimony to the significance of the 1911 pistol, try to count the number of clones available and those that have passed into history. I tend to carry a revolver for daily business but if I go to "the big city," one of my 1911s and spare mags go with.

I like my Springfield A1 very much. It`s reliable and a tack driver with the right rounds of course

currently i am looking for a good / accurate Pet/ Bulleye load with Unique Powder and a 230grs Lead RN

any recommendation are welcome

Anybody spring the cash for a Sig or Colt Gold Cup in 22LR yet? They run them out the door for about $400+ tax. I had an Ace long time ago..In a place far away but that damned floating chamber was pain in the butt,needed cleaning every 100 rds or so. These new ones are fixed chamber and would sure decrease loading time to a trip to Wallyworld. bobw

Bob no haven't seen any of those on the shelf yet. Browning has one out now to I think... Lots of 22 1911's about nowdays.
