winchester scopes [mva]
hello...just wondering if there is anyone that has one of these scopes from MVA and what you think about it...how well does it shoot and what particulars do you like n not about this scope and mounts? does it slide thru the mounts like a unertl or is it mounted solid?

thanks for your input...Ted

The 1 MVA scope I have looked at was a work of art. Very well made and fitted. Just like all of their products are.

RE: winchester scopes [mva]
Bigted, I have a 28 inch MVA with the creedmore mount and it is the premier scope you can get. I put bases on 2 Hiwalls ,1 Rolling block, and 1 Sharps and can take it off and switch it and look in my book for sight settings and hit a chicken First shot 9 times out of 10 . It has a adjustment ring so on different guns or positions when you pull it back in battery It slides thru the mounts on a 1/4 rib with no spring. It truly is a work of art and while my range is only 600 yards, I am not even going 1/3 the way up the staff, The 28 inch is the most popular length and with the creedmore mount you are good from 25 to 1200 yards.

BT, my statement was to the quality that MVA is well known for.
I was at MVA at the time, they put a scope together just so I could look one over. That is what CS is all about. Nice folks there!
Why don't you call MVA on Tues. and talk to the owner, Jim?

Gary...thanks for that and sounds like a plan but ill have to wait till thursday or friday as this stupid work thing keeps gettin in the way...yep they workin me like a dog on LABOR DAY!!! think they have it just backwards...altho the checks do keep comin and it is a gold mine sooooo...guess ill play their game for a few more years then think ill play that song fer em...might even get the nerve to tune up the guitar and sing it to em myself...LOL...sounds good anyway!

seriously tho...i do have a couple MVA verniers and the workmanship is flawless on em. so i would bet the scopes would be the same quality come to think about it.

Ted,
The MVA A5 scopes are first rate but make sure you get the one with the new style mounts.
You have the same selection of cross hairs as the Malcolm style scope.
