I've moved to Florida, and surprise! it gets hot here..
I reload in the garage, and found the 408's I'm sizing for my 40 70 SS are messy coming out of the RCBS lube sizer.....
The SPG is melting ...
any thoughts...
another lube?
mixing something with the SPG?
Moving back to MA where it's Cold All the darn time!?

RE: bullet lube melts
Ken says, "I reload in the garage" ....... and I guess there were no other choices?, just sayin' !!!
A Missouri red-neck buddy dampens a couple of towels, drops them in the deep-freezer for a couple of hours, then wraps them around his luber-sixer and goes to lubin'! Where theres a will, theres a way !
that's an idea. I live in Florida. no basement, can't build an outbuilding..
so...garage it is..
I'm wondering if mixing it with something will 'toughen' it.

RE: bullet lube melts
Ken, you could cut in some bees wax to stiffen it up. I use DGL and for cold weather use I mix in a bit of bear grease or oil to soften it up. Strait SPG works nicely in the cold months in Wisconsin. When I use my own lube I use bees wax and bear grease and adjust it for the conditions I plan on shooting in.
