I have to wonder as we celebrate today, how many actually know what the original signers of the declaration went thru to get to the point of signing, and how they knew the Crown would hunt them down like dogs. Most that didn't loose their lives in the war, died in poverty..
We owe those folks and the ones who gave their all in later pages in history a huge debt of gratitude.

Yes, the signers of the Declaration of Independence were the true patriots. They risked everything for what they believed in. In their honor, let's keep real patriotism alive today. Have a great and memorable 4th of July..!!

A look at British history for the 100 years previous to the American Revolution sheds some real light on why the Founding Fathers insisted on a Bill of Rights and especially the 1st and 2nd Amendments. Hats off and thank God for the Founding Fathers, their wisdom, courage, and sacrifices, so that we could live in a truly free country.
