bought my 74 20 years ago. lettered , found it by serial number in arming the west book....dates, locations everything...
40 70 SS now....re-chambered from 40 90 bn long time ago. gun is marked 40 70 so its correct. original bore is perfect. gun is better than fine....
$5500 then and never looked back...have three mor now...carbines... go for it...you only live once, may as well be
