RE: Quigley pics - BPCR Bill - 06-22-2012 Don, I had a real jackpot trying to get out of town to the match. Travel trailer ended up in the shop, and I forgot or left some shooting gear in the trailer. At least I got the rifle and ammunition to come along with me. It doesn't matter, as it's always good to get back to the home country! Next year we'll have a sit-down and talk! Regards, Bill RE: Quigley pics - Don McDowell - 06-22-2012 Man I hope they can blade the washboards out of that county road. Good lord coming out of there Monday morning sure unseated a not terrific packing job in the trailer... Good lord coming out of there Monday morning sure unseated a not terrific packing job in the trailer... Maybe someone put that in Buz's complaint box. Two years ago I was on the way in to the match, and a rock kicked out from under the SUV, hit the front of the trailer, and then took my rear window out. I made a call to a Billings glass shop to get it repaired there. Then the tornado hit, taking out the glass shop along with the Metra. I drove back to Oregon with a garbage bag duct taped across the back of my outfit. What an Okey trip.
RE: Quigley pics - powderburner - 06-22-2012 sometimes if it wernt for bad luck we wouldnt have any luck at all . RE: Quigley pics - Lumpy Grits - 06-22-2012 Mud-flaps cut down/deflect most of that flying stuff.Gary RE: Quigley pics - BPCR Bill - 06-23-2012 (06-22-2012, 03:30 PM)Lumpy Grits Wrote: Yeah Gary, it's easy to put mud flaps on a pick-up, but I'm still trying to figure out some way to mount them to the Xterra. I know a fella that lost two rear windows in his pick-up from the same deal, and he was hauling a fifth wheel horse trailer. How the heck those rocks can find their way past mud flaps, and all the up way under the neck of a trailer to the window, defies logic. ![]() Regards, Bill RE: Quigley pics - Old Jim - 06-23-2012 Duct tape, garbage bags, wire, water, etc .... stuff you always have on-board, just in case something goes wrong!
