Yes, I would like to give a few of your 44-500P bullets a test drive; I'll be shooting them in a Shiloh .45/70. Looking at the bullet diagram on the Accurate website it looks like the diam. is 0.442. If I'm not exposing a trade secret, what are you using for patching paper w/ those bullets?

You can use either 9# or 8 lb. Send me your mailing addy, I'll get those blocks headed your way, that way you can see if you like the aluminum blocks and the bullet all at the same time.

iron , yes it would and they all have a meplat ,because they are nose pour ,,that can be adjusted,easily enough and you can cut anything you want in a nose pour as easy as any mould.
alas the slough sharks have disappeared , they certainly were good ,and I dried out the last of them and ground them into powder and they kept for a long time in the reloading room, bad teeth :-)powdered they spread the flavor around in the mouth so much better.

Thanks for the info on nose pour moulds. I didn't know one could get an adjustable nose pour mould w/ a flat meplat of 0.25" or so; all the ones I was aware of had postell/money bullet or similar type noses. They certainly aren't good target bullets especially for the longer ranges, but they really shine for hunting. Thanks again.

Turns out I did a crappy job on that last post. I meant to say the postell/money type bullets are good for target type work, but not so great for hunting. The problem is not so great wound channels for the postell type bullets. Sorry about that, but you already knew that anyway.
Additionally, PM me your USPS/UPS address, because I see a ration of smoked sharks in your future. But maybe you don't like them anymore, huh?
