Kurt, Along with that ramrod you'll need an extended cleaning jag. The rod is too short to completely wipe the bore, at least from one end. That's because of the lever spring underneath the forearm. But that's just a slight inconvenience... Some doin's otherwise! Shoot sharp, Mike RE: Photo Thread - Mike - 04-29-2017 [attachment=880] And here is my most used Sharps, my custom classic Hartford from C. Sharps Arms in .44/77. RE: Photo Thread - Hiwall55 - 04-29-2017 Here's a couple of my Sharps. Raining today like cats and dogs so pics are inside Top 2 are 45/70, 45/90 and bottom is 30/40 Krag RE: Photo Thread - Hiwall55 - 04-29-2017 More eye candy 40/70SS. Couldn't throw this wood away so put a badger barrel on it , refinished it planed 3/4 inch off the top of the cheek rest so I could get a cleaning rid in it. Lee Shaver squared everything up and chambered it with his reamer then reworked it to take captech brass for greasers and Hornaday brass for Paper patch. Call it my 2for 1 rifle |
