For what it's worth, I gave up trying to find the perfect top punch some time ago. I buy ones with a really large cavity, and then use a hot glue gun. I put a little oil on the nose of the bullet and clean the punch with brake fluid. Then fill the cavity with hot glue and push the oiled bullet into the hot glue while giving it a little twist. It works really well and if I want to change it you can pop the hot glue out with a pocket knife and do it again. I also do this for the nose cavity of my seating dies. Works super.

Cody, that is an excellent idea! Perfect fit for the bullet profile and no more ring around the bullet nose. I'll use that method in the future. I have done the punch modification using liquid metal but it is not easily removable so the hot glue would be a winner.

Ether, starting fluid, cleans really well too. Make sure you're outdoors and up wind.
