As Old Jim said sight setting on the same range can change, light, time of year, temp. different batch of powder. I only shoot long range so I cannot say as to silhouette but a huge amount of work goes into these ranges by a few people. Not many places to shoot 1000 or 1200 yds, and this a small sport. So if the targets are not set exactly as posted don't be to critical. If you have good sight settings a small difference is not hard to correct. Justs my 2 cents worth.

if you are talking about setting targets thats one thing and your range finder or whatever means is on for you but if I check targets at various shoots my range finder says different most times , I think it is just the built in variable of the unit, it never is spot on but it is always in the ball park, so I adjust for my settings to my range finder and miss quite consistantly almost everywhere,

I checked the range at the Q and it is usually different then what it shows on the line yardage board. That is what that little screw is for on the sight to make up the difference

Its good to be close as possable but does it realy matter, we all shoot at the same targets. I did not say we hit them.
