yes kurt,
this is the perry book so often mentioned.
much good info, and you don't have to buy it.
interestingly he mentions the pitfalls of muzzle loading the breech loader.
the main potential danger was forgetting to put a primed case in the chamber prior to pouring the powder down the barrel!
just like I occasionally do when using the droptube.

There is simply nothing as interesting as the history of Texas.......Read a few books about the period of 1800-1900 and you can easily see why Texans are Texans! It's in their genes! A great state with great folks! Thanks for the link....
