RE: Norma TAC-22 - Nuclearcricket - 11-06-2014 Kurt, thought of a few more. Water hit my bullet. Forgot to reset my scope. Fog got in my eye. Mirage got me. Bullet got lost. Finally if all else fails, there is the old stand by, useful most anywhere, one D ten T error. If your not familiar with this one, think about it, and if all else fails, write it out, it will come to you quite easily that way. Sam RE: Norma TAC-22 - Kurt - 11-06-2014
RE: Norma TAC-22 - Kurt - 11-07-2014 (11-05-2014, 08:25 PM)Kurt Wrote: Went out again this morning and did some more shooting with the new CPA with the .22 barrel on it and DZ scope to get some sight settings. I'm going to add the 200 yards I shot today. It really was not a very good day for this with the winds and it was cold enough that I could not feel those little .22 shells in my fingers. I'm still getting used to the scope adjustments. They are the opposite I think they should be The hole off to the left I made a long sight change that should have been right in my mind when I gave the knob a twist ![]() Edit: I might add; there are two groups. The 4 high shots I shot first and I lowered the scope two lines on the knob and it is very close to a MOA lower. This makes the sight settings great to use.
RE: Norma TAC-22 - Don McDowell - 11-07-2014 That's pretty good for 200 yds. [/align]
RE: Norma TAC-22 - Kurt - 11-07-2014 Don. The 4 on top I did not wait out the wind like I did on the bottom 4. I took the .22 barrel off again tonight and screwed the .44 on. It's time to work on loads for it for next season. RE: Norma TAC-22 - Don McDowell - 11-07-2014 Looks like my 44 work is going to be put off again for a while now. Weather next week sounds really crappy, and then if the weather doesn't have everything buggered up, I have to be gone for the better part of the next week.. RE: Norma TAC-22 - Kurt - 11-08-2014 It's getting into heavy coat weather here also. It's dropping down into the teens and it will take a week or two getting used to this. RE: Norma TAC-22 - Don McDowell - 11-08-2014 They're talking about highs in the 20's and snow for most of next week....Been to nice to long to have to jump into the middle of winter from a balmy 65* RE: Norma TAC-22 - Nuclearcricket - 11-08-2014 Kurt, that is some damn fine shooting. From where I set, it looks like those groups would be competitive for about any genre you would want to use that rifle for. I fully expect to see a score from you come next year in the 31 plus range. And you can add another excuse to the list I have put forth for you, turned the knobs the wrong way. I just don't know how I overlooked that one. Over all, just from what little you have used your cpa and DZ scope and mounts so far, they seem to have been an excellent investment in some outstanding equipment. I am beginning to think that perhaps it would be a good idea to put a new barrel and breach block on my wish list. Now just have to figure out what to part with to make room in the safe for the barrel and to help pay for it. Sam RE: Norma TAC-22 - Don McDowell - 11-08-2014 Kurt I got to wondering if you sent them the rimfire breechblock and the barrel, how much is that gun going to cost? Should be a fair amount of discount.. |
