RE: Redding Turret press - Cody Smith - 12-25-2014 http://reloaders.com/metallic-ii/ Anybody ever see one of these? I thought I had seen about all of the current manufactured stuff, but I have never seen one of these. RE: Redding Turret press - Don McDowell - 12-26-2014 First time I ever heard of one. That is a neat set up. RE: Redding Turret press - Kurt - 12-26-2014 Don. The guy to my left with the black hat I shoot with at the Q owned the Company. You know Larry. I use the Ponsness-Warren Shotgun loading press and it one of the best if not the best. The only progressive press that I have used that is trouble free. EXCEPT DONT HIT THE SHOT DUMP LEVER by mistake ![]() ![]() or you have 10 or 15# of shot all over the place ![]()
RE: Redding Turret press - Don McDowell - 12-26-2014 I know Ponsness Warren are the Cadillac of the shotshell reloading world, but I sure didn't know they made cartridge stuff. Actually I know everyone in that picture except the kid with the slouch hat on standing beside Roger. RE: Redding Turret press - rfd - 12-31-2014 i had and used a t-7 turret for about 3 years, it's a massive press and i used it mainly for pistol 45acp and 38/357. i called it the "t-rex" of turret presses. the only thing one needs to keep an eye on is the turret getting excessive play, so i kept a large allen key stuck up top the turret king bolt to give 'er a tweak to make sure the tolerance was set correctly. i just sold it because i no longer need to produce that many pistol rounds weekly and have gone to a pair of lee classic breech lock presses. the breech lock turns a single stage press almost into a turret press, without the need for extra turrets. plus, most of my centerfire rifle loading these dayze requires almost no press use. |
