RE: Henry golden boy 22 - gstanfield - 01-17-2013 Don, have you looked into Skinner sights for that Henry? I'm getting a set to put on my round barrel Henry, my brother has them on his already and loves them. http://www.skinnersights.com/henry_rifles_18.html Also, for accuray testing I tossed a cheap throw-away 4x scope on mine and shot this ten shot group from a kneeling position at 25 yards. Not too bad for a cheap rimfire levergun I figure. ![]() If the golden boy will shoot as good as the cheap models then you've got a winner all around as they look really nice. RE: Henry golden boy 22 - Don McDowell - 01-17-2013 George , no I haven't looked into those. She's been shooting it with the buckhorn and bead, and likeing it fairly well. I do think I need to pursue the clamp on lyman receiver sight, or get around to drilling the tang for a tang sight. I am impressed with the accuracy of these "cheap" rifles. RE: Henry golden boy 22 - gstanfield - 01-17-2013 They aren't as adjustable as the lyman or williams sights, but they look nice to my eye and don't snag too much. Once I get the engine back together in my traveling car I'll give you a hollar and we can try and find a nice day to do some shootin. RE: Henry golden boy 22 - Don McDowell - 01-17-2013 George we'll be waiting for your phone call.. |
