A 429 jacketed bullet will work in the .444 but the bullets in the beginning where pistol bullets and the full potential of the .444 was never at full potential.
I'm getting stuff together also for a pot. Next time I get to the scrap yard I will see if I can find some 8" sched. 20 or 30 SST pipe and a weld cap. I will use a ceramic band heater controlled with a PID and I will make a 50# pot with a drain so I can blend alloy in a larger batch.

If you've got a well driller nearby he would have a bunch of scrap casing that should work for you. That's what I have for a big smelter pot. It holds well over 100 lbs.

Just got my 4TH Accurate Mold. Absolute work of art! Jewelry! This one is for a big lube bullet for my various 44-40 firearms...three cavity aluminum. All the others are two cavity brass.

Gussy I have some schedule 20 sprinkler pipe I been thinking on using because of the faster heat Transfer but I really like to use SST so I don't have to do it again.
I go through a Waage about every two years. Never have got 3 years out of one yet.
