What isn't mentioned in amongst all those smiley faces in Brian's post is the fact that Penny had TWO expert, local gentlemen helping her with the calls to get that 10/10.
Paul

Well, those two weren't experts, let alone gentlemen.

(No, really, I've got no idea who was spotting for her.) Somebody help me out.

Dave Gamble and Doug Portra were her spotters Rolleyes

What, there was singing? I didn't here any singing. Had I known it was turning into a Gene Autry western, I'd of had to shut it down right away.

Dave sang sounded more like a gut shot coyote Tongue

Just don't ever expect to be able to compete at 875 yds, on say a buffalo.
It'll NEVER happen, the big bores will eternally rule that roost. You'll never be able to hit it the 8 or 9 times just to get into the shootoff, let alone the 10/10 times thats required to win.

Huh But can you keep 10 out of 10 inside the 44 in diameter 8 ring at 900 yds, shooting blackpowder.. or better yet, keep all 10 inside the 20 inch 10 ring.Shy

RE: Next season - DeadEye - 11-11-2013

I guess the first thing I have to do is apologize to Dave and Doug for setting them up as the butt of all this humour (Canadian spelling) even though it is fun. Sorry Boys. AngelTongue We happened to be shooting in the next relay and found ourselves as part of the Meccage Family cheering squad. Watching Penney and seeing the excitement build in everyone was a hoot. A very popular winner to be sure.

Sorry for your troubles Brian but I'm sure you'll have a few more stories to tell before it's over. I visited old John's web-site after I saw your pictures. I had to move on real quick when I started reaching for the Plastic. Nice stuff.

It's -4F here this morning and the ground is white so I guess winter is here. I've been getting a lot of casting done and the pot is heating up as I do this.

On this day I would like to thank any of you fine Gentlemen who served your country and particularly my Son, a veteran of 22 years in the Canadian Army, and our Grandson who just finished trade school and received his first posting to one of our fine Canadian Frigates. Lest We Forget.

Stay warm,

Paul
