I know this has been a while but just read and enjoyed the thread. Thanks Kurt (and others for the questions) for all the elaboration on your finish. I'll be bookmarking this.

So... I visited this again and wouldn't you know the pictures don't come through. Snooze you loose!

My regards to all of you sheltering in place.

And especially you I've got to shoot with. Playing with an old 1893 that has a boat load of finish puddle on it and fishing around for what to do for a "sympathetic restore" of that blue-color stock and forearm.

By the way Kurt, I ordered a mould from Tom the other day... first iron mould I purchased from him. So pleased I may go order that old 450gr mould we worked on together.

another btw... also have a Ballard receiver (#3 in 22) there for some wood. Gail said a month but been two now, so not sure if they are shut down. Considering the location I wouldn't be surprised but eventually I'll have another cause to review Kurt's process. Thank You twice then Kurt - in advance.

Sgt. I like tom's iron and brass moulds. Tom has the 121 PH repo from your print and nailed it on the head it's in his catalog and I been shooting it mainly in the 95 .45-70 Marlin.

Thanks Kurt. Shouldn’t be hard to find.

Got my wood stripped. This will keep me busy while sheltering in place.
