2014 - Stephen Borud - 10-05-2014 ![]() It's been a tough year of hunting. This was my longest kill with a Sharps, 50 2 1/2". 287 yards with a wind right to left 20-30 mph. I aimed at the front of her chest and the bullet passed through her liver. She ran 50 yards, laid down and expired within a couple minutes. Stephen RE: 2014 - Don McDowell - 10-05-2014 Congrats on makin meat. How many more to go? RE: 2014 - Stephen Borud - 10-05-2014 I have one more antelope, deer and two elk.
RE: 2014 - Don McDowell - 10-05-2014 I'm hoping to get an antelope this week, maybe a deer, have a couple of elk licenses but not sure about the when or if on those.... RE: 2014 - Stephen Borud - 10-05-2014 ![]() Cody my 5 year old was good help today
RE: 2014 - Stephen Borud - 10-05-2014 Good luck Don, I went elk hunting with my longbow for eight days. It was nothing more then a long nature hike lol, better then working though! RE: 2014 - Stephen Borud - 10-05-2014
RE: 2014 - Don McDowell - 10-05-2014 Great picture of the young'un!. Just not sure when or if I'll go after elk. I do have a type 6 for here at the place, that is good until the end of the year, so maybe if they get to coming around I might get a chance at one of them.. RE: 2014 - powderburner - 10-06-2014 Good to see you got a start. And your helper looks pretty handy with the knife. Good job so far. RE: 2014 - Ironramrod - 10-06-2014 Stephen, Now that is good shooting on your part in that kind of wind. Not the easiest kind of shot to make, but you did well w/ it. Your helper looks like he has a lot of enthusiasm for that project, too. Looks like you had fun together. ![]() Regards IR |
