Don hows yours working out?. Ive a brass mold for the 38-55 285gr and its heavy enough to wear on you. Dang, might know I posted in the wrong subforum!

Sam they're alright. I think Mike has cast a couple of tons of bullets with his , and I've heard no complaints from him on the durability.
The brass blocks I have from Old West will wear you down fast as well. If I were to get another of Accurates moulds I'ld probably go with the iron.
I like that you can order one of those aluminum moulds from Accurate and try a bullet design out, and not be out a lot of money.

There is no doubt in my mind that Tom has a good deal with accurate molds, I don't know of or have ever heard of any mold manufacturer where you could pick a mold design and make changes as you pleased or even submit a design of your own and have him turn a mold around for you as fast as he does. And at no extra cost.
I do think my next mold from Accurate will be brass, just to say I have tried one. Since I am not a high volume caster and cast from a small pot, I take frequent breaks to either relax, sort bullets or refill the pot. I think if I were to have a need to stand for hours to cast several hundred bullets at a time then I would want the aluminum mold.
