I'ld call Kathi today or tomorrow and get your order placed..
When I get these old 110's that I shortened for the 45-90 emptied up again, I will run them thru the 44 die and see if they work as good there as they did in the 45.

Well, I took Don's advice and called Captech to check it out. I introduced myself and told the gal that rumor control has it that Captech is bringing out brass for the .45/110 caliber immediately if not sooner, and I could have heard a pin drop for the silence. She asked, "how did you know that?" I said "I've been in this north country for going on 50 years, and I've developed a really good underground network to find out details regarding important info." More silence, and she said, "but we haven't told anybody, so I can't imagine how you found out." I went ahead and leveled w/ her, but even then she was amazed.
Anyway, she said they will be inspecting brass tomorrow and Saturday, and will take orders next Monday, 3 May 2015. I told her that would be fine, and I would call back on Monday. I also asked her about brass length, etc., and she didn't know right then, but would have that info on Monday for sure.
So, there you have it. Having a good underground can be a real asset, I say. Two bits says she had an "uffda moment" got another cup of coffee after that phone call.

That's a good example of the right hand loosing track of the lefthand.
Somebody with their Facebook password sure put the word out...Anyway glad they did this, they sure do deserve a round of applause for making the properly headstamped cases for so many chambers that us oddballs love to shoot.

Coming from a tooling and manufacturing background, I am a little curious what the cost is to produce the proper die or what ever they use to stamp the cartridge heads with the correct designation?
I do feel certain that what ever the cost is, it is more than offset by the increased sales of properly stamped brass cases.

Good example of the response from customers, when they ran that first batch of 5000 44-77 brass it was sold out in very short order, and they ran about 5 batches before they had the little misunderstanding with the State Dept, and got shut down for awhile. I hope the rest of their properly headstamped bpcr brass does as well.

Well, I got an email from Captech this morning saying the new .45/110 brass was ready to order. So, I gave them a call, and asked what the case lengths were running in their examination of the new brass at this point. The gal I talked to said the brass had been running between 2.875" down to 2.850" on the low end. That sounds like quite a lot to me. For the price of $41.xx for 20 rds. I would think the lengths should be considerably more consistent than 0.025." I didn't bother to ask the range of measurements on rim thickness and width. She said to call back on Monday, and she would have more data. Hmmm?
