Congrats on winning the Shiloh. You are the only one I have seen throwing confetti in the air and it looked cool at the chicken line. I may have to get more details on your bore pigs. LB

Thanks Don. Travis and I really had a great time. We met so many great people, I still can't believe it. The match was extremely well run with lots of great prizes. Winning the Texas State 22 championship is definitely one of my proudest moments. If I hadn't of choked on Saturday or shot the wrong target three times on Sunday, I would have had the big bore as well. Oh well, it was still really fun. I can't say enough good things about the Texas crew or Texas in general.

Dave R., Tell us more about the Shiloh rifle you won in Texas, and maybe a picture or 2 if you have them. Also, if you don't mind I would like to know more about your pp loads, and your match procedures to keep them shooting in the middle. I followed your earlier experiments, but don't know what you decided on for your loads. It's an inquiring mind thing, ya know.Big Grin

Dave: it was a fun match and that wounded chicken needed to be scrap. Made me feel better about the ram that must have been welded to the rail. I have to do a few test loads on a new lot of powder then maybe get a few loads to try on the new PP mould. LB

Hi IR---------------the Shiloh will get final specifications next week, i'm working on finding the right stock blanks right now----------basically the prize is a $2000 certificate against a new Shiloh-----i'lll have the details worked out soon and the other logistics of wood and such next week with any luck---then it will go to build------It will be #1 Sporter heavy, polished octagon---selected presentation grade wood, 3A finish, pack hard case finish and other assorted niceties----no engraving or checkering.

The Patched loads were 74 gr swiss 1 1/2 napa fiber overpowder wad, 0.150 grease cookie, milkcarton wad under the bullet----0.446 Brooks Money bullet 517 gr, 0.446 wrapped with masterstouch tracing paper dry and sized to 0.4505.

The load is a compilation of information from Kenny, Brent, Kurt, and several other folks and discussions here and on Shiloh and Castboolits----the help i received was critical to getting this far and we're not finished yet Smile-----as far as keeping them in the center thats LUCK !!!

Hey kokomo----it was a hoot for sure, confetti and flying chickens welded rams and all-----hope to see you and danny again at a match soon !!!!!

That "varmint silhouette highpower match" at WHGC sounds like a fun time we'll see Smile

Keep well and stay safe

Dave

Checkering sure helps with torque control. And it looks good too Smile
