White stuff? - Old Jim - 05-11-2015

Don,
Is there some white stuff on the eastern Wyoming prairies today? Kinda late, isn't it?

We had snow in late April a few years ago, makes a mess.

Jim yessir there's as much as 18 inches just east of us. We got about 6-8 inches accumulated, it was and still is melting in pretty fast. Likely be mostly melted off by this afternoon.
Boggy mess around here.
Snow up to the 10th of June or so isn't unheard of.[/i]

I live a bit east of Don, we got close to a foot of snow. Haven't seen a snowfall like that in May for a long time. Often we get this stuff in April. First shot is our lilac bush and bird house, second is off my front porch. Birds were amazing. Every time there was a slight break in the storm there would be a couple birds out on the rock or trees looking for food. Now there a a bunch of them on the road where the snow has melted. Must be a lot of bugs and worms coming out.
