Another block - Don McDowell - 07-16-2012 again coming from Accurate. This one is .442 and should throw 500 gr bullets. As soon as it gets to where it's not so hot that you'll die,,, I'll get some cast up,wrapped and squished into cases. Carol can test them at the next shoot we get to, or if it rains here at the house. RE: Another block - Ward Olson - 07-16-2012 What kind of nose shape? I went with one of his moulds about a month ago - it's the 475 grain with a big .280 meplat and drops at .442. I wanted a woods hunting bullet for my 45-70. First trip to the range showed 2.5" group at 100 yards with the full buckhorn and penny front. Shot right to point of aim too! ward RE: Another block - Don McDowell - 07-16-2012 Ward I had him cut the 45-500 P but took the meplat down to .180. It looks just like the 435 bullet I had him make only a bit longer and of course a smidgen bigger. I think it should work good, time will tell I suppose. |
