Gavin, I see you mention .44s now and then but I must have missed something (like what I was shooting at...). Which .44 or .44s did you get? Just curious, 'cause I like the .44/77 and .44/90 BN. Did you go for one of the straight cased chambers? Shoot sharp, Mike

How many of you .44 shooters have used the RCBS 44-370 FN bullets? I have that mold but, let me admit, it was misplaced for a while. Now I've found it and put it in action but haven't fired any as yet. I'm going to give it a go in my .44/77 rolling block. Just looking to hear some opinions. Shoot sharp, Mike

Mike I have the RCBS 44-370 FN mould in a two cavity. Mine drops a 400 gr. It shoots ok but I need to use a cartridge seater to seat it in my .44-77 and both of the .44-90bn Sharps. The bore riding section on that bullet is at .4384" and that makes it a little tight in a .438" bore. It shoots better in the .44-90bn's then the .44-77

Kurt, Thanks for your note. I can see that the nose of this bullet is on the fatter side when compared to others. When seated in the .44/77 case to the top of the crimp groove, it will chamber (with a clean barrel) in my rolling block. No shooting with this bullet has been done as yet but I will take barrel cleaning gear with me when I go to the range. Shoot sharp, Mike

Kurt, A quick measure with a loaded cartridge shows that to be about .441". It sure won't drop into the muzzle very far..! And I haven't tried to chamber it in the Sharps, only the roller. Shoot sharp, Mike

A second bullet was measure and this one scores a .439". I don't know why. This time, however, I did make sure to not measure on a mold line. Shoot sharp, Mike

I have that mould, bought it to use in a 43 Egyptian. Thought it might work really good in the 44-77's , but the nose is to fat to fit in the bore of the Shiloh's so if I did load and fire any of them it would be lead mining time.
