Rifles for Sale! - Rick Mulhern - 11-08-2015 Shiloh Sharps M1874 LRE & Sporter #1 Caliber: 45 2 7/8 Barrel: 30" Bull w/7* Leade by Kirk Bryan Pistol Grip Double Set Triggers Shotgun Butt-Stock Standard Grade Wood....but pretty! Sights: Hoke LR w/Distant Thunder Front Price each: $3500.00 w/purchaser paying freight/insurance fee. Parlorguns by Rick Mulhern, on FlickrGuys....I've just grown older and like I told Bill Bagwell this morning I can no longer sit out in the Bears Den casting bullets, rolling patches and loading like I could a few years ago without my shoulders and back yelling at me! There's some things I'd like to do to my home that require some $$$ and these rifles would do more good 'going down the road' to someone that would appreciate them rather than sitting in my safe not being used! I've shot basically nothing but PP in these rifles mostly and without any doubts they are very accurate! The Sporter #1 barrel has never had any greasers through it's barrel with very few being fired through the LRE rifle. The Sporter #1 stock comb is same height as the LRE which makes shooting LR easier to use the tang sight attached. There are no marks/blemishes upon either of these rifles....steel or wood. I don't have to sell but if anyone is interested here's my email: Sharpsman1940@gmail.com Thank you! RE: Rifles for Sale! - Stephen Borud - 11-12-2015 I hate to see you selling your rifles Rick. I hope someone close to you will buy them. You could speed up the reloading learning curve considerably for them. You could speed up the reloading learning curve considerably for them. I've had a great run....and hopefully a few more! I don't hate growing older; like Dad told me before he passed..."Keep on having the birthdays!" My greatest regret is that I never got to go shoot any of the matches because of my work. My busy time were those months that the shooting season was in and I just couldn't take time away from the airplanes! Noone is gonna buy these rifles; they'll think they're priced too high but I probably wouldn't be too far from wrong saying that if whomever would price what's been done to these and equipped with the sights that buying new and doing the same thing would be even more $$$$! I don't intend to give them away....other than to my grandsons who I know will take care of them! Thanks for your post and GOOD LUCK! ![]()
RE: Rifles for Sale! - Gunlaker - 11-12-2015 I think those are decent prices Rick. Certainly less than new, especially once you include the taxes and extras on the rifle like the sights and scope bases. If I didn't have orders in at Shiloh right now I'd buy the LRE off of you.
