Shiloh 1877's - Randy Bohannon - 03-24-2017 Has anyone taken delivery of the 1877's, are their any estimated wait times for said rifle ? I am going to put my order in the next few days, still deciding on which cartridge,Leaning toward 45-90 . I want to shoot it until I'm dead.Would love one in a 44-77 that would make it no brainer. Thanks RE: Shiloh 1877's - bryany - 03-24-2017 They have just started the first production run from what I've heard. That would suggest delivery in the fall or so. Bryan RE: Shiloh 1877's - Randy Bohannon - 03-24-2017 Thank you Bryan,That's encouraging. RE: Shiloh 1877's - Don McDowell - 03-24-2017 Kirk says when they get the bumps out of the production the wait time should be the same as a 74 RE: Shiloh 1877's - Randy Bohannon - 03-24-2017 Thank You Don .I assume 18-24 mos. That gives me time to perhaps add some things I had not considered such as a Rigby flat, their just cool.I have no desire to add a scope. So far, 45-90,32" round barrel polished, brass eschutions, fire blued screws and traditional steel butt plate. RE: Shiloh 1877's - Don McDowell - 03-24-2017 Well I'ld say that after this original flurry of rifles get shipped, then yes 18 months without a handful of extra's I'm going with 40-70 the panels, Rigby flat and checkering. Polished screws and barrel, AA finish and custom bedding. RE: Shiloh 1877's - Randy Bohannon - 03-24-2017 Don is the AA finish worth it on regular grade wood ? The 40-70 SS a frustrating pleasurable cartridge if there is such a thing.I have seen some of your targets,I will get there someday with mine. RE: Shiloh 1877's - Don McDowell - 03-24-2017 I think the extra on the finish is worth it even on the standard wood. Captec 40-70 cases made load work up pretty easy. RE: Shiloh 1877's - parkergunz - 03-24-2017 As of today 20 letters have been sent out. All standard wood Still working out the stock making problems. RE: Shiloh 1877's - Don McDowell - 03-24-2017 I went ahead and placed my order on the web site. Now the wait begins. |
