Nice target rifle article - Don McDowell - 07-31-2017 Just about the time a fella really figures NRA wants to completely divorce themselves from Black Powder Cartridge ... they do something like this. https://www.nrafamily.org/articles/2017/7/23/get-into-black-powder-target-rifle/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=insider&utm_campaign=0817 RE: Nice target rifle article - Kurt - 07-31-2017 Have some rules been changed? Any metallic sights, with or without clicks, including open, aperture and tube are allowed in competition. 2. Specialty Equipment: Shooting mat, shooting coat,[/u] RE: Nice target rifle article - Don McDowell - 07-31-2017 The rules for target rifle and silhouette have always had slight differences in some places. Much like Martini's and Ruger #1's, Borchardts etc are all legal in BPTR but not silhouette. RE: Nice target rifle article - bruce moulds - 07-31-2017 so click sights are allowed in bptr? keep safe, bruce. RE: Nice target rifle article - Don McDowell - 07-31-2017 I wouldn't know, I don't use them have no need to, best thing to do if one wants to use click sights is to read the rule book. Did some reading in the rule book , and as long as the "click" adjustable sights Metalic are period , they would be acceptable. Scopes can not be click adjustable, and must conform to the 3 /4 in. tube and maximum 1 in objective lense. RE: Nice target rifle article - bryany - 08-01-2017 It's a nice PR piece, don't think anything in it is correct without checking elsewhere. Bryan RE: Nice target rifle article - bruce moulds - 08-01-2017 thanks don. if your group is forming at the bottom of the 10 ring, it would be nice to just come up one 1/2 moa click. as opposed to using a magnifying glass to adjust a vernier 1/2 moa. more time to look at flags if the rules allow. keep safe, bruce. RE: Nice target rifle article - Don McDowell - 08-01-2017 With an MVA, Baldwin or Hoke sight, it's a quarter turn up, no need for the old fart glasses. RE: Nice target rifle article - bruce moulds - 08-03-2017 daily bulletin section of the 6 mm br website also had a good little promotion for raton a couple of days away. keep safe, bruce. |
