Soapstone mould? - parkergunz - 12-24-2018 A friend of a friend bought an old antique tool chest at a recent auction in Ohio. In the box was a round ball bullet mould made of soapstone. Can any of you muzzle stuffers shed any light on this. It apparently throws 3 different diameter round balls. Merry Christmas to all! Merry Christmas RE: Soapstone mould? - Tom Herman - 12-31-2018 What a cool find, Mike! Thanks for sharing the pictures! I would think that soapstone would be a natural: It's inexpensive, and easy to carve, so almost anyone could make a mould with it. Just my two cents worth... -Tom |
