1873 Winchester - Don McDowell - 12-28-2012 Looking like there is going to be Winchester marked 73's available again http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/default.aspx?item=534200137#They get them out in a real 73 cartridge and that could end up getting me and the visa in real big trouble.... RE: 1873 Winchester - Lumpy Grits - 12-31-2012 Looks like the Winchester lawyers have added a 'safety' ![]() Gary RE: 1873 Winchester - Don McDowell - 12-31-2012 Doesn't bother a thing. That tang safety is the easiest ignorable thing they've ever done. Flip it forward to fire and forget about it. RE: 1873 Winchester - Lumpy Grits - 12-31-2012 Don, not sure it's a 'tang' safety. Just wish that the safety wasn't on the Win. '86 I have. Gary RE: 1873 Winchester - Lumpy Grits - 12-31-2012 Can't find any more info than this. http://sassnet.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=198398 Gary RE: 1873 Winchester - Don McDowell - 12-31-2012 They're listed on Gallery of guns. I don't mind the tang safety on my 95 a bit. Like I say it's ignorable, and unlike that ugly crossbolt thing, it isn't really that noticable. |
