Have one...on me! - Rick Mulhern - 03-22-2013

Kinda cool here last evening so I built a fire in the firepit and my buddy Jack Walker and I kicked back, sipped a few and enjoyed the late afternoon! Jack is 81 years age; one tuff old cowboy who worked cattle all his life and knows horses backwards and forwards!

Yep! I've seen a few Yanks that thought that also!!

Until they got here!!

I've seen this freeze completely over! Nothing like the northern lakes but for a supposedly WARM CLIMATE.....it took pharts a week to thaw out!

Incidentally....the 2nd large cypress tree from the right hand side of the photo has been 'aged' at more than 2800 years. The university that did the process stated that it was 800 years old when Christ walked in Israel! The base is below the water line now but it is HUGE!

And from time to time...we get a little snow! Coyote killing time!!

Yep! Only thing more impressive are the giant Redwoods!!

I've seen what happens after floods here, thousands of little Cottonwood seedlings start. That is probably a remnant of the big flood.

Ok, first off, it can't be cool there, the grass is green & the trees got leaves!!
I spent about 6 hrs moving snow at my place & down at dad's place yesterday afternoon & evening!
