Q Match in Europe - Kurt - 08-01-2013 The Forsyth Mt. Quigley Match is also getting to be a big event over on the other side of the pond http://quigleymatch-europe.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=60&lang=en I would like to attend someday. A BIG high 5 for Al Lee and the Montana crew for sparking the Quigley Match that might even be getting bigger then the Creedmoor match in it's time. Kurt RE: Q Match in Europe - Don McDowell - 08-01-2013 It'll be interesting to see what sort of turnout they get for that. I hope it's a raging success for them. RE: Q Match in Europe - Dave Roelle - 08-02-2013 Really pretty countryside all through that region----------i traveled it a lot several years ago on business many of old military bases thru that region that would make great shooting venues it will be fun to see how it developes---------lots of hunters and shooters in eastern europe Dave RE: Q Match in Europe - Lumpy Grits - 08-06-2013 Has anyone seen "Quigley Dawn Under" as per the flyer? ![]() ![]() ![]() Gary RE: Q Match in Europe - Rowdy Rick - 08-08-2013 I see the rules state no duplex loads or blackpowder substitutes. I didn't look that close but what country is this in? RE: Q Match in Europe - powderburner - 08-08-2013 the menu also says you need to be trained for two days , thats interesting. RE: Q Match in Europe - Dave Roelle - 08-08-2013 When i was working in that part of europe we did a wild boar stand hunt in Hungary one weekend---the first half of the weekend was "school", classroom gun handling local laws and customs the first afternoon we were range qualified with the supplied rifles----all very controlled till the drive started then it was just crazy-----stand hunt with driven boar----mostly running shots thru broken woods-----a neat experience but quite different from any other hunting i had ever been a part of I imagine that a really indepth instructions in very minute detail with controlled ammo and strict line discilpline will be the norm for the match shooters and spotters--------as well as schooling in local laws and transportation of guns and such Poland is the venue Dave |
