ODG's powder choices - Don McDowell - 01-06-2014 It seems we've been pretty well bombarded by the factitions, that the Old Dead Guys far and away preferred the European powders.. Well I'm wondering if that might not be just a little bit of misinformation ![]() Reading in Perry's book, the equipment list of the shooters at the Creedmoor match, the powders were either Hazards, or Laflin and Rand, both US powders, and not a mention of the European powders. ![]() For those that may not know, Laflin and Rand later became DuPont, which became Gearhart Owen, which we now know as Goex.. Hazard had a bad explosion in the early 1900's and ceased to exist. RE: ODG's powder choices - Kenny Wasserburger - 01-07-2014 Funny, and just gamers, what ever that means, were the only ones using hard alloys too? I know a great book is it not Don? Kenny RE: ODG's powder choices - Don McDowell - 01-07-2014 Kenny it's an amazing book. |
