Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Don McDowell - 06-08-2012 Eron Ahmer and co at the Colorado Rifle Club range north of Byers Co. are hosting the Rocky Mtn Regional BPTR match on Sept 7-9. If you want to shoot a first class creedmoor range , this is surely the place to do it. Flier and entry form can be found here. http://www.crci.org/Portals/15/Content/Files/Black%20Powder%20Long%20Range/2012%20Regional%20Flyer.pdf RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - louie4solis - 08-07-2012 I really adored this kind of post and place it as being my own bookmark web page too. I will probably be thinking about all points you have talked about within your website. Thanks. and one more thing Now i' m searching for discussion boards who have really great advice on what's popular and what are the very best make-up will be. RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Lumpy Grits - 08-10-2012 That sounds like a great shoot. Don, my search foo is bad. Do you have a link to the NRA, BPTR rifle specs? Would like to see if my 30 hvy bbl Shiloh #1 would make it. THX, Gary RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Don McDowell - 08-10-2012 Gary yes it would, max weight is 15 lbs unless shooting scope or the tollefson class. Not sure if the bptr rules are available online or not. Take a gander at the NRA competitions page and might look in the competitors booklet availabe online for this years BPTR championsips at Raton. RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Lumpy Grits - 08-10-2012 Thanks Don, I did look at both areas and didn't see what I was looking for. I will look again, just in case I missed it the first time. Gary RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Don McDowell - 08-10-2012 Gary either one of your Shiloh's are just fine for the bptr matches. Got to tell ya, I can see why folks like these longrange matches. I know I could really get hooked on them if there were more available within reasonable travel. Just really wish Eron would of picked a different weekend for this match. RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Lumpy Grits - 08-11-2012 Heck Don, I just wish he was 1K miles closer is all ![]() Yeah, with the 15lb. max. weight, they would both make it. just wish I could get folks around here fired up over BPCR. No such luck at all so far ![]() Gary RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Don McDowell - 08-11-2012 Shucks lump with the cheap airfare's between Denver and the left coast you could probably fly out to every shoot cheaper than you could drive even living half close... RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Lumpy Grits - 08-11-2012 Not cheaper to fly and stay for the 2 of us I don't think. For Barbara and I, camping out at the range is half the fun. Gary RE: Rocky Mtn regional BPTR - Don McDowell - 08-11-2012 They run 75$ roundtrips Denver to LA and Vegas fairly regular.... There's a couple of motels in Byers, not 5 star by anymeans but a place out of the rain. Also there's the option of staying in Ft. Morgan or Wiggins, or even Lyman. The range is sort of out in the middle of nowhere so camping at the range is the best bet. |
