Yea too late for me also. I got the call the other night my 44 is done and I go and pick it up today. It will still need some stock finish work and the forend will need bedded, that I can do my self. Now its going to be waiting for more hospitable weather so I can get to a range and see how well it works.

There's a Uberti hiwall that's been rebarreled to 44-100 that certainly grabs a fellers interest, and if one has a #1 roller needing some attention there's a badger barrel that's been fitted up and has the Rigby rib, in 44-90st with the dies..

You guys are killing me. I just picked up my 44-77 today and it has had exactly 1 round through it and I didn't get to pull the trigger, the smith did, I just got to clean it up after. It looks nice and holds very well. I was a little apprehensive about going with a 3 1/2 Winchester taper as I didn't want it to be too heavy but I didn't realize how much smaller it was from the original barrel until I slipped the forend on. But it looks nice and feels nice. Now I just have to wait till June or so when the snow melts down far enough to get out to the range and give it a good workout.

You got that right Don, sub zero overnight tonight but a balmy mid 20's Saturday But I am due to get another 8-10 inches of snow. All I can say is Thank Goodness for Toro snow blowers.
