RE: couple of rugers
Sam, I've got a big Unertl with caps and can measure the major thread diameter if you like.

Btw, do you ship scope caps north of the border? I've got an Unertl and an STS that have no caps.

RE: couple of rugers
Chris, i never have and don't know what would be involved with doing that. I would appriciate it if you could measure the caps on the big unertl and let me know. Also if you know where I would have to go or who I would have to ask about shipping something north let me know. I have made caps for STS and unlike Unertl's they seem fairly consistant as to size. The Unertl's are almost a custom job as their tolerance on some of the stuff was pretty loose.
What size unertl do you need caps for?

RE: couple of rugers
Hi Sam,

I just measured the caps on the big Unertl. The eyepiece is slightly out of round and measures either 1.348" or 1.349" depending on where I measure it. The front is consistently round and measures at 2.057" at multiple points. Unfortunately I do not have a large enough micrometer so I used my Starrett calipers. I hope that's of use to you.

The Unertl that I'm missing the caps for is an 18x with the 1.5" objective lens.

RE: couple of rugers
Thank you, I have not made any caps for a 1 /2" unertl but shouldn't be hard. I would need the inside and outside diameters of the Objective and eyepiece lens bells. The threads should both be 48 threads to the inch. If it turns out to be cost prohibitive to ship the caps across the border, I can supply prints and instructions to you to take to a machinist to cut the caps. Normally I charge $15 per cap plus $5 postage and should be able to mail all 4 caps in the same package. I doubt that they would want to let "Scope Caps" across the border but they may not have any problems with "lens covers". I can talk a walk down the post office tomorrow and see what they can tell me.
