RE: Good weekend match
We had the good fortune to be at Alma Match last weekend too. Everything said complementary about organization and event coordinators is absolutely true. After all they put up with me ;-) LOL
This was first outing for the new 40-65 '74 Sharps "Lucy" using the Holy Black. That project report "coming to dark side" will be forwarded in another thread.
I was using irons and resolution with these old eyes was yet another challenge. Tossing in new rifle, new loads and at this time, required swab between shots bore management, it was real hoot. The new combo did hit some rams. However I must have hit 1/2 again steel critters than for count due to being out of order. That's the way it goes. Can't afford a MVA scope at moment but yesterday we made trip to the eye Doctor for full exam and new glasses. That will leave me one less excuse as to scores. I hope to return to Alma contest soon to test rifle & load tech. It only a 2 3/4 hour drive for me therefore was able to enjoy breakfast with shooting partner and Steve and company at JJ's eatery near range. RB
