first paper patch trials
Gentlemen:

Seems i have a claim to a new BACO bullet mold.

I think its about time to try to get a PP load working--midrange for now perhaps i'll try it at the club silhouette matches

Particulars are:

Shiloh #1 sporter----45/70

Chamber diameter at the bullet fit position is 0.484 inches

barrel bore ----------0.450

groove diameter -----0.457

Brass wall thickness average ------------0.0105

seems the place to begin is paper reccomendation and its thickness
and bullet diameter-----at least for starters

shooting grease groove bullets, i currently i partial size in a full length sizing die and open to the desired diameter for 0.001/0.002 bullet interference to opened case I.D.--------this leaves sizing toward the rim of the case just about a fit to the chamber and so should provide pretty good centered allignment of the loaded round to the chamber

Its easy for me to grind up custom expander punches to control bullet fit

So---------suggestions

Thanks in advance

Dave
