RE: Goofy weather
We have rain, wind and lightning here.
Kind'a reminds me of the storm that blew through the 'Q' in 2010.

RE: Goofy weather
Don one was off to the east about 50 miles or so and one down south about 35-40 miles.
We just got hail and winds but it sure got dark with rotating clouds but no fingers came down.

I figured that's about what you had there, but couldn't be sure from the weather reports on the news.
-11 here this morning. Maybe get to the 30's , but it's gonna have to hurry, it's 18 right now.

We don't very often get them this far North but this one in 2010 came a lot closer than I wanted. It is on the ground behind the house and about three miles away.

RE: Goofy weather
The year before we build this House a tornado took the only tree on this hill where the House is sitting now. Three more came by since one within 1/4 mile that only tore up the corn field and two inside three miles I watched them go by. Saw a couple fingers coming down since but they did not touch down. One came through town 5 miles to the east and took down some houses and farm buildings as it passed by. They said it was a mile wide.

This used to be a tornado alley 20 years ago but all has been quiet for a while.

RE: Goofy weather
When we built the new house for my folks , it was middle of August when we finally got the walls up and the roof perlins and everything tied together.
Storm clouds popped up to the south just after we got the roof covered, and looky looky straight south of us came two twisters on the ground, one lined up with the living room window and one perfectly squared in the kitchen window...Huh Fortunately they got to the big draw about 3/4 mile to the south and picked up.Angel

RE: Goofy weather
Yeah was a crazy week so nice on Tues I asked for the afternoon off after seeing the weather for the rest of the week and rode the bike to Devils tower for the afternoon. Was a bit chilly on the way home but wow what a great ride. Snow on the ground the next morning and 7 degs.
