New Shiloh!
I finally got me a Shiloh! It was just about brand new, but I had a couple "issues" with it when I first got itDodgy so I took it over to Shiloh and Kirk worked his magic on it and WOW she is sure nice now! Can't even begin to express the positive way that I was treated by Kirk and his Shiloh crew (and I wasn't even the guy that ordered it new)!!!

Been working at loads for a while now and some of them have really been promising.

Been shooting the 2F and 1 1/2 Olde Eynsford and a BACO $ bullet and John Olsen's (Big Sky Components) BSC lube..

Here she is a 45-90 (2.4) with a pic of a test group I fired with 2f KIK

I shot this group from that rest at 300yards with a fairly good x-wind. One of those flukes...but I'll take em anydayTongue 3 went right in together and then as the wind started to carry me right I added 1 1/2min of left and landed a 4th shot in the cluster.

Been using John Olsen's BSC lube with the Goex OE powder and cannot believe how well the combination works...been a wiper for a while now, but the OE and John's BSC Lube has made a blow tuber out of me...even when temps get into the 90's. Shot the recent SageBrush shoot in Alliance with it and shot 70 rounds in practice without any wiping.Exclamation

I managed to fall on my sword at the offhand 1000yd match by putting in a sight setting of 181...when my "true" setting was 171Big Grin Didn't do much better on Saturday.

But the combination of the Shiloh, BSC lube, OE powder and a some really great spotting from Jim Secrist gave me a 1st place win on Sunday with a combined finish of 7th in the overall out of 115 shooters. It was FUN...Harlan and Tiff sure put on a Great shoot!

Hope to see some of you at the upcoming fall matches!Big Grin

Nice group.
Congrats on that finish at the Sagebrush, that Hoffland range is a tough place to shoot, and to finish up that well the first time there is no small feat.Exclamation

Damn fine looking rifle and group. You did well on your purchase and load development. I think anyone would be happy with that group, I know I would.

Oh come'on Mark....Do you think it would help me? Confused

I gotta do something to keep my "coal-burner" in the running against those High powered, smokeless charged, 38-55 magnums you all shootTongue...

Probly should make that Buffalo an offhand match anyway,,IdeaBig GrinAngel

It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it out there to the Rocks this year. I had plans to hit Nebraska, Medicine Rocks, and Raton...but the dreams always seem to reach further than the "coins" Sad
