I don't think that there is a better way going to shoots then in a Gypsy wagon. When you get there you get together with friends that set up along side you and spend the evenings BSing and spending time with them.
We try not to take the same routs and I spend most of the time on the two tracks seeing new country.
There for a while I traded every year or two looking for the perfect gypsy wagon that is large enough for comfort and small enough for the National Forest's. I now have a 26' class C motor home that is about as close to the perfect camper. Rides good and if you want to go to the mall it's just about like a pickup for getting around. If I hang out in the hills I will put the jeep behind it.
