those side levers are probably the best action for prone shooting.
certainly better than under levers.
the roller is good for prone, but is less convenient and slower than a side lever.
the falling block is also very strong.
the brits were into side levers a lot for long range rifles and also for hunting.
think deeley and edge, and farquarson, among others.
your loads sound promising.
if you droptube the case full enough to seat a wad and start a compression stem in the case, how much will it hold?
the 40/72 will hold 84 to 85 gns of swiss 1.5 and 1.0, so the 1.5 case might hold 80 gns?
if you compress that 1/8" to 1.5" and seat that pp bullet on it you are talking long range as well as mid range.
another bullet that might shoot long range is the baco kidwell bullet.
