Stephen--A flatnosed bullet with a .250-.260 meplat is the best all around hunting bullet in my opinion. It imparts a lot of shock to the animal, and generally passes straight through leaving a good blood trail which is usually very short. The 480 grain paper patched bullet you made me is just about perfect. It is accurate out to 600 yards and does not leave a lot of bloodshot meat. Just a hole in and a hole out and a dead animal. Absolutely superior to a hollow point. Shoot straight, rdnck.
