The Legend is a very good scope, very sharp, but it does get dark when you run it at full magnification. For a laydown scope when I take a fast peek to see what the mirage is doing before taking the shot the focus is easy to change with just sliding your finger over the fine tune to enhance the mirage.
I don't use it for looking for holes unless I'm shooting the .22 pistol at the pistol range at 25 and 50 yards with it mounted on the lid of my pachmayr pistol case. Great scope for those uses.
