Bigted try it sometime, it really works well! I even did this with my 18 lbs Sharps Rifle! I had 27 rounds loaded of different varieties of crap that didn't shoot worth a hoot to 700 yards so I shot all of them at a 100 yards! Keep in mind this rifle has a 35" barrel, all we're in a fist size group! I would shoot, blow 3 breaths down the barrel and fire again! I use this method for all my hunting guns!
