i see that we have hardly any posters here so ill jump in again...maybe huntin seasson...who knows ...but...here goes...

been playin with the 120 again as she is sooooo much fun...hungry devil anyway! my short supply of cartridge is under 10 lbs now so thought id wait to get some 2f or 1f goex but im gettin anxious so i loaded 10 'special' rounds last nite.

they consist of this load...

120 grains of cartridge powder with a wax paper overpowder sheet...compressed around .340 inch... .340 inch lube cookie....060 walters wad over the cookie...and topped off with a lyman 457122 bullet of 347 grains with the hollowpoint pin snipped off so it throws a solid bullet....sparked with my normal cci 200 large rifle primer.

this should be an express load and a half...according to my books this load should throw this lite bullet at somewhere around 1700 to 1850 fps. hoping that it wont lead too bad...guess if it does ill have to try some cast from the wheel weight alloy i have stashed back for harder bullets.
