Bruce I used the 9.3X74 cases for my .40-70 when I first got it. It's a little big at the base but it could be swaged down and worked well. A lot more consistent then the stretched 30/40 cases, but a pain in the neck to make them fit.

The chamber I want to change is a .40-65 and the 9.3x74 cases wont work for this project. I don't want to rechamber the .40-65 to increase the velocity I just want the .40-90 bn caliber to add to my other rifles that nobody wants Smile
